About the Trust

The Chess Valley Primary Learning Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust approved by the Secretary of State for Education. The Trust was established on 1 April 2019.

The Trust was formed through the conversion of Christ Church Chorleywood Church of England School Single Academy Trust into a Multi-Academy Trust. Sarratt Church of England Primary School joined the Trust on 1 April 2019.

On 1 April 2024, Little Chalfont Primary School and St Mary’s Church of England Primary School, Rickmansworth, joined the Trust. The Chess Valley Primary Learning Trust currently consists of four primary schools.

Purpose of the Trust

The purpose of the Chess Valley Primary Learning Trust is to advance education for the public benefit by maintaining and developing high-quality primary education. The Trust works to support and challenge its academies to secure strong educational outcomes and effective governance.

The Trust promotes collaboration and the sharing of expertise across its academies in order to support continuous improvement.

Growth of the Trust

The Trust intends to grow in a planned and sustainable way and welcomes interest from both community and Church of England primary schools.
