Introduction

The Department for Education approved the formation of the Chess Valley Primary Learning Trust, to take effect from 1st April 2019.

The Trust has been set up by converting Christ Church Chorleywood C of E School Single Academy Trust (SAT) into a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT).  The first school to join the Trust was Sarratt CE Primary School, which became an Academy on 1st April 2019 to coincide with the formation of the Trust. Little Chalfont Primary and St. Mary's Rickmansworth C of E Primary joined on 1st April 2024, making CVPLT a four-school trust.

We aspire to welcoming more primary schools, both community and church schools, to join the Trust over the next three to five years. Being part of our growing trust early on in its development means schools can help shape the future with us together.

At the heart of the Trust is the provision of outstanding primary education. Our overall aim is to create a strong family of primary schools which serve their local community, and in which everyone is encouraged to be ambitious and to achieve their full potential.  The Trust will work to support all of its member schools to develop a culture of mutuality and development. The sharing of expertise is at the heart of the Trust's vision and development.

The Trust will foster an environment rich with challenging, creative and inspiring opportunities, delivered by highly trained and effective teaching and support staff .
